Software developer and computational designer, living in London.
Currently an Associate Director at London-based engineering firm AKT II, and leader of their in-house software development team. This Dev Team supports all of AKT’s specialist groups: Structural Engineering, the Bioclimate Team, the Applied Research Team (P.art), and so on.
Previously worked for Heatherwick Studio, RoboFold, Atmos, and other companies with a focus on complex geometry and computationally-derived design, optimisation & fabrication processes.
Has run workshops and given lectures at academic institutions such as The University of Westminster, The Royal College of Art and The Bartlett.
Holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture, both from the University of Bath. Master’s thesis analysed the architectural implications of digital modelling and computer-aided manufacturing technologies.

2023 | Co-Author of paper “Design Space Exploration of Shell Structures Using Quality Diversity Algorithms”. Published in “Proceedings of the IASS (International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures) Annual Symposium 2022/23” (2023). This paper explores the potential uses of Quality Diversity algorithms for the optimisation of structural engineering FEA models. It emerged from research undertaken as part of the ‘PrismArch’ EU Horizon2020 research project. Co-author, alongside my AKT II colleagues (Joel Hilmersson and Edoardo Tibuzzi), and project collaborators from the University of Malta (Konstantinos Sfikas, Antonios Liapis and Georgios Yannakakis). |
2021 | Co-Author of paper “The Geldeford Riband Pavillion”. Published in “Proceedings of the IASS (International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures) Annual Symposium 2020/21” (2021). This paper discusses a set of ten artwork collaborations built by artist DeWitt Godfrey and the AKT P.art team between 2016-2021, and proposes a new temporary installation to be constructed for the IASS conference. Co-written with DeWitt Godfrey and my AKT colleague Joel Hilmersson, who presented the projects at the conference. |
